Expressing Treasures, Word by Word: A Timeless Tradition

The calendar reads the 25th of December, you know what that means! Gifts…I mean…Family! Down the hallway, glimmering coins greet you. A blanket of snow lay behind, crisp and perfect for sledding. See the special Santa cereals, oh, and to the right – what are those?! Chocolates galore, sweet and savory – with a global presence.

This Christmas, we celebrated a little differently. As Santa’s helper, I wanted to highlight change in all its glory. Change can be scary or uncalled-for, but it can also be thrilling and illuminating. Continuing through, you’ll see the Christmas tree with snowflakes and candy canes placed carefully by him. Appears as though the family has been good this year! Bows here and there, and even a small Snoopy toy for Atlas. The beagle must have followed me here from London.

Reds, greens, yellows, and oranges flickering – all so cheery and bright. You’re all cozy in your Christmas pajamas, little bears hugging, gazing at the stars. Surrounded by people you love, appreciate, and admire.

Knock knock! Who is there?

Looks like a late delivery, oh, and it's marked from the North Pole. A golden envelope for everyone, what could this be? Reaching out to hand you an envelope with your name on it. Special Delivery Looking around, everyone is wondering the same thing!

Santa Note and Gratitude Book

Upon opening, there is a picture (or two), maybe of you or loved ones, that reminds you of a sweet moment. Glitter papers fall out, and as you grab them, you see notes. The room falls silent, and you can hear the dogs breathing. All eyes were glued to the notes. I get a warm feeling – I can feel the love and gratitude building in the room. These special notes were written by their loved ones: family and friends – some new, some older – all highly valued by the individual.

Snow falling gently outside, in contrast to the building emotional intensity inside. It was my Santa wish that my family felt love from near and far on this Christmas day – and they did. If you were a contributor, my heart goes out to you – thank you for making this Christmas truly perfect.

Transformations filled our family this year – some marked by hardship, others by celebration. Regardless, we had all made it to this day and were able to share it. The appreciation notes reflected just how full of life and passion our days had been this year. Reflections are incredibly important for maintaining longevity and strengthening personal growth, enabling more mindful decisions that ultimately lead to a happier life. Santa left a book of gratitude – to be filled out – in hopes of spreading greater awareness and appreciation.
